WHO ARE WE
The Electric Drive SW at Volvo Cars is part of Electric Propulsion. We are responsible for delivering system solutions and SW functionality for the Inverters in our electrified vehicles. Our vision is to deliver the best functionality in the market and continuously evolve our development platform.
You will be part of the Electric Drive Complete SW team. The agile team consist of 8 enthusiastic people with a mix of gender, ages and nationalities. We have a high focus on collaboration and communication within the team, but there is also room for individual challenges. New members always get warm welcome, support and acceptance.
WHO ARE YOU
You are social, structured, and work actively to increase work network and to be a team player, but you are also comfortable with working individually. In early phases of development, there are endless of opportunities to be addressed, such as new functionality, ways of working and collaboration partners. Consequently, we seek you who get inspired by the challenge of creating control out of situations with unclarity. You also know how to compile and communicate information in an structured manner.
You should have an education within SW engineering, Mechatronic or have an equivalent competence.
You need to master oral, written, visual communication and presentation in English.
As Volvo develop cars, a Driver license B or European equivalent is a must.
It is highly meritorious if you have a relevant job experience relative to SW development.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
In the role as Software responsible you will coordinate the SW development for the inverter control module, both in future and ongoing vehicle programs, together with your colleagues in the Team. You will work together with our Inhouse SW development and be first point of contact towards our international suppliers. You will set up project plans, align stakeholders, identify action plans emerging issues, and deploy SW to factory and aftermarket.
