We work with the electrical propulsion system for the electric vehicles, and we are responsible for coordinating and balancing the interaction among HV components. The HV components include propulsion components such as traction batteries, electric machines, inverters and chargers. The development of the electric powertrains and the HV systems is very rapid, and we therefore handle new concepts for the HV system that requires systems engineering and coordination. The questions the team are working with includes electric power engineering and functionality. The HV system affects the car from software and EMI disturbances to the car’s mechanical design and driveline performance. This means that the team has a very central role and interacts with several other departments. Our team works cross-functionally within the electrical propulsion system in areas such as system design, electrical safety and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
What´s in it for you?
As a system engineer you make sure that the HV system in an electric vehicle is well balanced, safe, robust and available. You will set up requirements that works as play rules for all components that shall be part of the system. You will work closely with people who are responsible for the ingoing components of the HV system such as HV battery, electric machine and charger. You will, together with your colleagues, lead the cross-functional system development within electric propulsion. This includes establishing and updating requirements on HV components, to solve problems/questions that arise regarding the HV system, participate in investigations for future electric propulsion systems and identify the need for advanced engineering projects.
You and your skills
We are looking for a person with a University degree within electric power engineering, electronics or equivalent skills. Minimum bachelor’s degree. Previous work-life experience within electric power system design is a requirement for the role.
