Senior System developer Java

About this position

Welcome to the Java development team. We add value by designing, developing, and maintaining fullstack (emphasis on backend) solutions for customers, advisors and partners. We are part of the Life & Pension IT department consisting of analysts, testers, operations, and developers working together. As Java developer you’ll play a valuable role, when you, together with your colleagues, contribute on the journey of Nordea Life & Pension Sweden.

What you’ll be doing:

Take part in designing, developing, and maintaining backend and frontend solutions
Acquire knowledge about business logic and participate in defining system requirements /solutions in close collaboration with various colleagues and stakeholders
Maintain and support existing applications


You’ll join an awesome team consisting of twelve experienced developers who aim for providing business with the best solutions possible and are passionate about technology. The role is based in Stockholm, remote work part time is possible.

Your experience and background: 

Relevant experience from the IT area 
Experience in spring-boot, Java 8/11+, Maven
Knowledge in Typescript and frameworks like Angular/React 
Comfortable with Agile development, Test Driven Development, Git, Clean Code, Architecture, and design (at least basic level). 
Fluency in Swedish and English, both written and spoken


As an advantage, familiarity of one or more of below areas

Knowledge of pension and insurance sector
Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
