At our department of Autonomous Drive (AD) and Active Safety Functions we design, integrate, and verify the complete vehicle solution for autonomous cars and active safety functions. We collaborate with some of the most innovative industry partners to reach our future visions of safety, convenience, and mobility.
What will you do?
We are looking for a competence in Human Factors for our AD Human Machine Interaction (HMI) team to share the challenge to launch Safe AD to customers.
You will work with the AD HMI that needs to support the delivery of customer valued autonomous driving functions. You need to understand the intention of the customer function and the work will include interpretation of legal and internal requirements, driving Human factor issues across ARTs (Agile Release Train) to secure Safe AD, contributing to the development, design, and V&V (Verification & Validation) of the User interaction for the AD functions, plan and execute user research to ensure data driven development, decision making and AD HMI safe argumentation.
You will collaborate closely with the Safe AD V&V team, AD function teams, the UX organization and the interface will also include our Software suppliers and multiple VCC (Volvo Car Corporation) teams that needs to contribute to the development of Safe AD HMI.
You will be part of a team with competences in Human factors, user research and function design.

Do you fit the profile? We believe that you:
* Have a relevant educational background on an MSc level
* Have experience/knowledge in systemization of AD functions
* Have experience in conducting research around Human factors of Automated Driving
* Have experience in Data Analytics and data driven decision making and development projects
* Have experience/knowledge in conducting user tests in the automotive domain
* Are fluent in English, spoken and written
Meritorious qualifications
* A background in Cognitive Science, Applied Psychology, Human Factors or similar.
* PhD in Human Factors or relevant field of study
* Knowledge in how to apply the standards (e.g., ISO26262, SOTIF- Safety of the Intended Functionality, ALKS - Automated Lane Keeping Systems)
* Experience from Scrum or Kanban based teamwork
