Senior Systems Engineer

Sirius International Insurance Corporation is a Stockholm based international reinsurer that focuses mainly on property and other short-tailed lines. The position is within the Operations part of the IT-IS Department which is responsible for the IT operations for the whole company. The environment is based on products from Microsoft (Windows, SQL Server and Exchange), Citrix (XenApp/XenDesktop, XenServer and Repeater),VMWare (vSphere and SRM) and Symantec (VCS, NetBackup). We are also working towards a Citrix thin client solution for the whole company.
The main duties are:
be part of a global IT infrastructure teamassist in application architecture designJoint responsibility in maintaining the technical environment with focus on Application Delivery in a Windows environment. Duties include testing, packaging, implementing and support business applications. For this position we ideally expect a suitable background to be:
Excellent experience in Windows application packaging and deployment, ideally in a Citrix/WinTS environment (minimum 10 years experience). Excellent scripting knowledge using VBS, Powershell and/or PERLExcellent experience in providing ongoing support for application installations.Experienced in ensuring application documentation is provided and updated.Good communication skills (speaking and writing in both Swedish and English)Experience of centralized, large and complex IT environmentsExperience of ITIL processes The position will demand that the person will work tightly with other members of the IT department to ensure high performance and availability for our systems.
The IT department is centrally located in Stockholm in Spårvagnshallarna.
