Senior Systems Engineer

[Active Search AB is a search- and headhunting company working mainly with specialist recruitment.We are currently assisting Sirius International in finding a Senior Systems Engineer to their Stockholm office.[ Sirius International Insurance Corporation [is a Stockholm based international reinsurer that focuses mainly on property and other short-tailed lines.Sirius is the largest reinsurance company in Scandinavia and a leading reinsurer in Europe.We are roughly 240 employees and have branches in Bermuda [London, Liege, Hamburg, Zurich, Copenhagen and Singapore.Sirius is part of White Mountains Insurance Group, Ltd, one of the worlds largest insurance groups, listed on the New York Stock Exchange.The position is within the Operations part of the IT-IS[Department[which is responsible for the IT operations for the whole company.The environment is based on products from Microsoft (Windows, SQL Server and Exchange), Citrix (XenApp, XenServer, Provisioning and WANscaler),VMWare (ESX, vSphere and SRM) and Veritas (VCS, NetBackup).We are also working towards a Citrix thin client solution for the whole group.[ The main duties are: [to be responsible for maintaining the technical environment with focus on Citrix Application Delivery systems and Windows Server environment [Be responsible for testing, packaging and implementation of new user application [Responsible for planning and performing maintenance and development of the IT infrastructure monitoring [Responsible for the implementation of ITIL process Configuration Management [ For this position we ideally expect a suitable background to be: Excellent experience with Microsoft and Citrix server products[ Good communication skills Documented experience of network and system monitoring in large IT environments Very good knowledge of script programming [ The position will demand that the person will work tightly with other members of the IT department to ensure high performance and availability for our systems.The IT department is centrally located in Stockholm in Spårvagnshallarna.[
