A senior systems engineer with a life cycle perspective focusing on complex systems integrated on commercial platforms - Special Mission Aircrafts
Your role
Our task in the team Engineering Office is to enable our customers to perform their missions by securing the availability of our supportive mission systems. There are several supportive mission systems, such as cooling systems, power supply systems, audio systems, fuel systems and avionics systems, integrated on our modified Saab 340/2000 and Bombardier Global 6000 aircrafts. Engineering Office´s main focus areas are:

To look at alternatives to our current suppliers when they are not able to fulfill our needs. We have an ambition to increase our in-house work share when it is suitable, in which case we need to build new ability within Engineering Office together.

To define alternative solutions when spare parts are no longer available on the market.

To work with technical investigations and technical support.
*
To work across organizational boarders and coordinate where needed.

Your profile
We are looking for experienced senior systems engineers with technical broadness. Experience within avionics and electronics is an asset. To succeed, you need to be able to build an understanding for how the systems work and how the components are integrated.
We believe that you are a curious person with a big interest in technology and that you have a Bachelor/Master in Engineering or equivalent work experience, in a relevant technical area. Since the work involves many interfaces, we are looking for a candidate who is highly cooperative and communicates in a natural manner. You are a person who strive to identify possibilities, challenges and ways to be more efficient and you act on them. We want you to add something extra to the team and be interested in learning more as well as sharing your knowledge.
What you will be part of
Airborne ISR is a business unit within business area Support and Services with the purpose to integrate systems i.e. radar, sensors and other functions in airborne platforms. The modified airborne platforms are operated to get awareness of different situations, both in the air, on ground and at sea. After delivery to our customers, we assist with support solutions with high availability around the world. Airborne ISR has a strong work culture of sharing knowledge, working across borders and finding the best ways forward, together. There is a big focus on work environment and well-being as well as a rigid strategic improvement work.
