Senior Systems Engineer - Energy Storage System

A more sustainable tomorrow is driving a technology shift within many industries today. The electrification of how we transport people and gods is for sure driving a challenging technology shift. At same time electrification is posing challenges towards charging infrastructure and the increased need of green energy production.

One of the central parts in these challenges is energy storage systems, making sure that we can deliver the right power at that right time for the right duration. Cost efficient Battery Energy Storage systems that has well balanced performance towards it's usage, is key to take the right business decisions.

We at Knightec are currently in the progress of creating teams in order to cover every aspect of the transition to electrified transport solutions. Right now we are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer within Energy Storage System (ESS, BESS) to be part of one of those teams!

You want to use your knowledge and previous experience on battery system architectures and sub-systems to support our customers. Support them in their challenge to balance requirements and battery attributes in order to judge what is the overall optimum battery solution for their system.

Based on your long-lasting experience you see yourself as a lead engineer who further develop the technical competence in our team and to guide and consult the different technical teams. You have a holistic approach and you like to communicate with several stakeholders also on management level.

The keyword will be collaboration. Cross-functional teams created to solve problems, rather than picking the problem for an already existing team. Products and business areas will differ but the red thread will be working with batteries and energy storage products.

Who we are looking for
- Experience in high-voltage battery development.
- Proven experience in designing and integrating energy storage systems in complex environments including cross-functional work and close contact with external suppliers.
- General and good understanding of Battery attributes (Safety, Battery performance & Lifetime, Thermal performance, Electrical performance and durability). Experience in how to communicate and balance between these attributes.
- General and good understanding of Battery Management System (BMS).
- Expertise in requirement management processes, tools and system engineering methods.
- Master of Sc. in Electronics, Mechatronics or Electro chemistry.
- Have a holistic view and the tools to create a time-plan and to break it down into deliverables preferable acc. to SAFe methodology.
- Fluent in Swedish and English.
