Job description
•You have Global responsibility to develop future Cab´s geometry architecture as an expert in work methods and work processes.
•You are the Senior Global expert to coach different Cab Sites in the world.
•You are responsible for development of knowledge and competence development within Architecture and all Site.
•You will support and coach several brands in the Volvo group (Renault, UD, Mack, EICHER, Volvo).
•You have at least 10-15 years leadership experience within Complete Vehicle or Vehicle engineering architecture and Automotive is a benefit.
•The Senior Technical Leader Cab Geometry will lead the total global Cab Geometry work. Be the expert competence.
•For all global development offices build the needed competence for Geometry Architects and Geometry Assurance Engineers and Expertise Team Geometry Assurance.
•Utilize her/his expertise and leadership to develop the Cab geometry processes and methods needed today and for the future.
•Participate and support all deliveries in early phases for projects.
•Secure that we have geometrical solutions available that fits the whole range of Trucks, from Emerging Market to Premium High End Products. You are reporting to Global Manager Platform, Concept, Process & Advanced Engineering
The main responsibilities
•Lead and develop Cab Geometry towards benchmark in Automotive Industry.
•Develop organizational structure and competence for Geometry Architects and for Geometry Assurance Engineers (in dialogue with Expertise team Geometry Assurance) and apply on all sites.
•Develop and train colleagues within all sites for Geometry Architects and for Geometry Assurance Engineers in dialogue with Expertise team Geometry Assurance.
•Develop Cab geometry processes and methods for product development to support GDP (Global Development Process).
•Secure together with feature leaders/project leaders, that we develop geometrical solutions that fits the whole range of Trucks, from Emerging Market to Premium High End Products.
•Be the leader of the Cab Architecture A and B interface descriptions for all Cab Platforms today, together with Cab Geometry Architects, Site Platform Managers and GTM/SMT.
•Propose Geometrical Advanced Engineering where it’s needed, according to the Technology Strategy and Platform Lego Box strategies.
•Publish articles internally and externally. To have close connection and a broad network to both Universities and the Automotive Industry
•Participate in national and international seminars as a speaker.
Qualifications and background:
•At least 10-15 years leadership experience within project management.
•University degree or equivalent experience.
•Excellent skills and solid experience in the Geometry area.
•Experience as a trainer within project development.
•Experience of leading Multi-brand projects
•Proven networking ability and strong skills in how to use networks in an efficient way.
•Solid experience and understanding of how to work in a multi-cultural and international business environment. Having “cross-culture competence”.
•High Customer and business focus and the ability to create good relationships.
•Excellent skills in English, both written and spoken
