Senior Technical Writer

We are looking for a Senior Technical Writer (TW) who wants to write software- and other documentation for our amazing self-driving vehicles (AGVs) with a passion for UX. You will join our fantastic content team: Sofia (Content TL), Alison (TW), Marie (TW), Lena (TW), and Sofie (TW).

Job description
Toyota Material Handling Europe is one of the world's largest suppliers of material handling solutions, both within forklifts and related products and services. The subsidiary Logistics Solutions (TMHLS), a central part of the development and innovation part of Toyota Material Handling, is located at Frihamnen in Gothenburg. Logistics Solutions develops solutions for warehouse Automation and has 150 employees.

Toyota Material Handling Europe has more than 12.000 employees in 21 sales companies and development and manufacturing units in Sweden, Italy, and France. We are a forward-thinking company where we develop the future of Logistics and Material Handling by creating self-driving vehicles used in warehouses.

As a Senior Technical Writer, you will work with our different Toyota units, which produce deliverables that we import into our software portfolio. Other entities that need documentation develop our self-driving vehicles, and we also have a sales department where we need to ensure they have the correct information at the right time. You will belong to the Product Management Department, but our company has a strong writer community that you will also be a part of.

Core responsibilities
As a Senior Technical Writer, it is essential to have the ability to write technical documentation, migrate supplier documentation to our platform and peer review and edit materials. Some of your tasks will also include the following:

* Your main task will be to create and write user-driven documentation with making complicated technology easy to understand
* Network both inside and outside our organization to collect facts, inputs, and user insights
* Drive user research projects
* Work on architectural and documentation platform improvements

Your profile
As a person, you are self-driven and independent and have a strong user focus. You are a team player who has an interest in both technology and experience in working with information strategy and information architecture. You thrive when you get to network and drive projects. Your profile requires the following:

* Higher education within a relevant field such as technical, linguistics, journalism (BSc or MSc) or equivalent experience
* Minimum of two years' work experience in writing software documentation
* Have a background in behavioral science, UX Marketing documentation, or similar
* Good communication skills in English, both written and verbally
* Experience writing in XML/HTML and Markdown editors and excellent skills working with the Microsoft Office package
