Northvolt has exciting job offers for Senior Test Engineers to join our bold Battery Systems team in Stockholm.
In joining us you will play an important part from the very start in developing a new generation of battery system and building a large scale European battery factory. The Senior Test Engineer will help to establish world class production process and quality assurance through the development of world class test equipment and processes.
You will be responsible for creating a vision for world class testing of battery modules, developing automated test stations and prototype testing equipment.
Responsibilities:
Leading manufacturing test development activities.
Creating test strategies and developing test specifications based on product test requirements.
Designing and developing new manufacturing test fixtures and programs for internal functional testing of battery systems.
Creating test procedures, implementing test fixtures, and executing qualification and validation activities
Develop vendor partnerships to procure test equipment to verify product and process performance including charge testing, electrical testing, BMS testing, leak/flow testing, cooling system testing.
Develop test code base and custom applications in house to perform custom BMS and electrical functional check.

Skills & Requirements
Education/Experience
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Software or Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
4+ years of experience in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering within a manufacturing context (ideal)
Strong software and data background including experience in Labview, Python, C, Matlab, SQL
Strong background in test systems management and development
Experience rapid iteration of production processes, comprehensively, at very high speed
Excellent time management skills generating both short term and term solutions in parallel
Familiarity with battery module/pack manufacturing, electronics manufacturing, semiconductor manufacturing, or other similar industries.
English Fluency Required.
