Arbetsuppgifter
The Department for International Trade (DIT) is the UK Government organisation that helps UK-based companies to succeed in Sweden and other international markets. DIT also assists overseas companies to bring high-quality investment to the UK's economy.
The DIT team in Stockholm is currently looking to recruit a Senior Trade Adviser, the main purpose of the position is to focus on volume activity is to support UK companies and provide information, analysis, reports and contacts that will allow them to grow their export business. In doing so this role will support the UK governments' ambition of 100k new exporters by 2020.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Deliver assistance and wins for UK companies by building and maintaining a network of local contacts in range of sectors. Identify leads and opportunities for British business.
- Be part of the DIT Sweden management team adding to the direction of the Swedish operation.
- Coach and line manage three Trade Advisers in the Volume team to ensure targets are met e.g. business opportunities and ensuring a quality product for UK clients and Swedish contacts. - Ensure knowledge of sectors is up to date and ready to provide authoritative advice to a range of internal and external stakeholders. Developing and maintaining a national network of contacts in conjunction with colleagues and deliver market entry activities commissioned by UK companies which can include market research, organisation of events and visit programmes.
- Support DIT colleagues and wider embassy campaigns, author briefs for VIP visits and other governmental communication. Undertake and ensure that administration tasks are completed, providing regular written reports on activities and record data on CRM system
Essential qualitifications and experience:
- University degree, Business/Economics or applicable subject.
- 3/5 years of relevant work experience.
- A self-starter, with the ability to organise self and work effectively.
- Be able to take responsibility and use initiative to deliver high quality work.
- Deliver to tight deadlines, multi task, work effectively and supportively on objectives and targets.
- Understand and focus on customer needs.
- Strong team player.
- Good IT skills.

This is a full-time, permanent position.
