Senior Transportation Designer

Cliff Design is dedicated to design for a world in transformation! We are working with project based commitments in our design studio as well as design consultants on site at our clients design departments. We constantly need to be challenged and are always interested in connecting with dedicated creative souls. Currently we are searching for a Senior Transportation Designer.

Job Description

As part of a creative and dynamic team in our studio or on site at one of our client's automotive design studios you will create & develop the most appropriate and desirable designs within each project from initial ideas to complete interiors and/or exteriors.

Responsibilities and tasks

Take design from sketch phase to concept modeling in Alias or clay, and through to A-class surfacing. 

Come up with design and engineering solutions that serve the design vision and also fit with the engineering constraints. 

Ability to work on all aspects of exterior or interior design. 

Work with different design teams and suppliers to achieve the best possible product in terms of craftsmanship, cost, and engineering, while also staying as close to the design vision as possible.

Requirements

University degree or equivalent in Transportation Design from a Design University
Minimum 5 years’ experience in automobile exterior and/or interior design 

English, spoken and written 

Very strong sketch ability. 

Communicative with good verbal and visual presentation skills. 

Independent and confident as well as a good team player 

Structured, methodical, and analytical with good planning skills. Ability to understand and analyse 
requirements from upper management 

Highly motivated, flexible, and able to work under constrained time schedule

Software and IT

Good knowledge of CAD 3D design process and software such as Alias, Blender, Photoshop, and VRED

Personal attributes

Independent and confident as well as a good team worker who thrives on being a part of a diverse team

Structured, methodical and analytical with good planning skills.

Strong drive, flexible and able to work under constrained time schedules and frequently revised circumstances.
