Volvo Cars' UX Organisation is looking for a Senior or Lead UX Designer - Retail Systems to work at our headquarters in Gothenburg or our downtown office in Stockholm. You will be involved in starting and launching a new product on a small team with room to grow.

This new sales platform will be a core building block in enabling sales agents in the transition to 100% direct-to-consumer business model.
What you will do
As a Senior UX Designer within Retail Systems, you shape the future of vehicle sales. In this new role on a new team, you will have the potential to own many parts of the process and have a major impact, with room to grow and learn. You will help create useful, efficient tools for our sales agents and retailer partners. In the long run, it will be important for you to understand how the physical and digital sales worlds are related, with the possibility of occasional visits to meet with retailers and understand the intersection of the digital and physical sales touchpoints. You will work with engineers on your team(s) by removing obstacles and helping them understand user needs and UX principles.
More specifically, you’ll contribute daily to projects through UX design methodology and skills, support prioritization, and close collaboration with product managers, engineers, and other teams and stakeholders across the digital organisation.
You will be a part of elevating what it means to support customers in their ownership experience of cars, automotive services, and mobility products.
You will be a part of defining and designing future retail and enterprise solutions.
You’ll help us meet the customer where they are and work to solve their problems in a coordinated and efficient way.
You'll advocate for the customer and exceptional design with a high level of craft and exceptional service design.

Who you are
We are looking for a visionary designer who is driven by situations with a lot of unknowns who is also capable of carrying out an end-to-end design from ideation to research to prototyping and testing and the final UI. You are capable of gaining alignment with multiple stakeholders through conversations in which you will always be wearing the hat of the user. You are comfortable owning many parts of the desing process and able to set direction and deliver throughout the product lifecycle.
* You’ve been designing for 7+ years for a consumer-focused tech company, so you understand all aspects of product architecture, interaction and visual design, and UX research. You are constantly looking to hone your design instinct through user feedback, whether that’s hands-on user research or a quantitative A/B test.
* It would be an advantage if you have experience working in a company and industry working to transition from brick-and-mortar sales points to e-commerce.
* You have strong skills in stakeholder management and the ability to gain alignment across diverse groups of people.
* You love research as well as design and are also have strong visual skills.
* When faced with uncertainty or complexity, you have a proven knack for innovation methods that help build empathy, clarity and simplicity.
* You have a people-focused design mentality. You seek to understand your user groups and build great tools to make their work and lives easier.
* You are a systems thinker and can build solutions that work as part of a larger ecosystem of tools. You can move nimbly between digital journeys and real-world, face-to-face customer experiences.
* You are a strong collaborator and communicator, who can inspire and work with not only design partners, but many other stakeholders from marketing to engineering.
* You have a strong technological understanding and can easily navigate limitations and possibilities to set direction for achievable and excellent user experiences for the short and long term.
