Senior UX Writer

We are looking for a Senior UX Writer to join our growing team. Being the first dedicated UX Writer at Mentimeter means you will play a big part in shaping the role, the way we work, and crafting the product experience together with your partners in Design, Product, and Engineering. This is why we believe that you not only excel in the craft but also want to contribute to the way we work with UX writing and content design.
What you will do
In this role, you will use writing as a way to create and evolve aspects of our product experience, solve user needs and achieve business goals. It involves leveling up our writing practice through audits, establishing guidelines and content patterns, and socializing them in teams. You will help push our tonality and connection to brand values and alignment with other copy functions within marketing sales and support.
We are building an organization around empowered product teams, supported by processes to ensure a high level of alignment, focus on outcomes, and contextual support from leadership. As a Senior UX Writer, you will support multiple teams across the whole experience, looking holistically at how we express ourselves, as well as identify and be part of prioritizing new initiatives.
Skills & Requirements
We think that you have:
5+ years of experience in an English-speaking UX Writing role.
Highly skilled at turning abstract concepts into simple sentences.
Worked in a product company with cross-functional teams, and identified ways to scale content practices across teams and areas.
Helped build processes and guidelines for UX writing or content design in a product context and are interested in shaping how we work at Mentimeter
Continuously used insights throughout the writing process to understand, ideate, and validate.
Kept stakeholders in the loop and share your impact and perspectives both in writing and presentations.
Created positive relationships and consistently demonstrated the value and impact of great writing.
Seen diversity and inclusion as critical aspects in your writing and the teams you work with.

Skills and Experience:
You are someone who loves the craft of writing, has an eye for user experiences, and can push UX writing at Mentimeter forward. You thrive in collaborating well with designers, researchers, engineers, and product managers. You are as passionate about crafting clear and compelling messaging as solving user needs.
Creating patterns and guidelines is a natural part of your process. You think in systems and see consistency and cohesiveness as key aspects of your work. You are effective in prioritizing your time and continuously evaluating where you can make the most impact.
You also believe in the power of experimentation and are not content with the perfect wording unless it proves to make sense to the users. It is natural for you to use hypothesis writing, validating, and iterating as ways to ensure your words deliver the right impact.
Not required:
You don't have to know Swedish (daily work is carried out in English and the Mentimeter team currently boasts over 40 different nationalities!)
