Strategy & Vehicle Concepts, is a unit within Research & Development responsible for external contacts, System Engineering strategies and Mechanical Integration Work on vehicle level. The group Vehicle Concept Development, 98410, is part of the business unit Strategy & Vehicle Concepts. Our responsibility is to lead the Mechanical Integration Work cross functional (involving Engineering, Product Design, Manufacturing, Service and Attributes) in order to deliver robust and feasible Vehicle concepts in Annual Work and Pre Program.

As Senior Vehicle Concept Engineer (VCE) you will lead the concept integration work in Annual and Pre Program phase. This is a very important and central role in the product development process. As VCE you will be responsible for conducting Architecture and concept studies on vehicle level. The responsibility includes delivery of robust mechanical concepts, as 3D CAD-data, meeting Attribute, Manufacturing and Service requirements. The VCE will also deliver Technical Input (TI) to Product Design as program prerequisites.

Main responsibilities

* Lead the mechanical integration work in Annual and Pre Program phase
* Deliver robust and cross functional agreed CATIA 3D data at Program Start <PS>
* Deliver Technical Input to Product Design
* Deliver creative and competitive concept solutions on vehicle level
* Lead Vehicle Integration Meetings
* Conduct Mechanical Architecture studies

Required qualifications

* University degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
* Good knowledge in CATIA V5
* Knowledge in CAD Visualisation
* MS Office
* Fluent in English (written and spoken)
* Extensive automotive experience (>12 yrs) within concept development
* Competence in Teamcenter is meritorious
* CAE experience is an asset
