About the team :
Our team Autonomous Functions specializes in self-driving vehicles and interacts closely with our colleagues at Volvo Autonomous Solutions. We work with a variety of autonomous vehicle functions such as Safety Related Vehicle functions, Safety Driver Monitor, Mode Manager, Manual Driving <> Autonomous. Being responsible for our product also means SW Verification & Calibration both in vehicles and in virtual environments.
What you will do
As a Verification engineer, one of your important mission will be to improve existing way of working within the verification area and development of the verification environment.
Since the team also includes function owners and SW developers you will be closely involved in the SW development even though you will probably not write SW application code. You will perform tests in vehicles as well as tests in virtual environment. You will be an important member in an agile team, contributing to short term deliveries as well as long term strategies.
Key responsibilities include:-
• Test case/scenario creation
• Run and analyze regression results (mainly automated)
• Develop and continuously improve our verification strategy and way of working
Who are we looking for?
We believe that to be successful in this role, you have the following :-
* Creative with a mindset to learn and improve
* As part of an agile team, you a team player and enjoy teamwork, but you are also able to work independently and drive development on your own
* Good understanding of system development of embedded real time systems
* Communication and presenting skills both in text and verbally
* Business and customer oriented
* You most likely have a genuine automotive interest
Relevant Experience and Qualification :
* Masters degree in Mechatronics, Control engineering, Computer Science, Electronics or similar
* Good knowledge in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Control engineering
* Familiar with tools such as CANoe, CANalyzer, Simulink, GIT, Vector DaVinci, Systemweaver (SE-TOOL), PN-tool
* Knowledge in C#, C++, Volvo Tools, architecture, ISO26262, Python are beneficial
