Senior VFX Artist

Metrea Simulations is looking for a Senior VFX Artist to come join our teams in creating art content for the ultimate in high fidelity combat simulation. We strive to push the boundaries of what's possible in simulation and you will work closely together with our artists, programmers and domain experts (e.g. fighter pilots) in doing so.
Responsibilities include:
Creating performant realtime effects
Creating highly realistic effects found in realistic military themed simulators (explosions, muzzle flashes, smoke trails, tracers and more)
Creating effects driven by simulations (heat, environment, etc.)
Enhancing the look and feel of our products through realtime effects.
Using Niagara FX in Unreal Engine to craft all effects
Working with engineers and programmers to drive and trigger effects



Skills and Requirements:
Exceptional real-time effects skillset and portfolio
Great knowledge of creating a wide variety of realistic effects
Passion for pushing the state of the art in asset fidelity and production techniques
A high sense of self-motivation and initiative
Be proactive and work without direct supervision
US or EU citizenship
Must be located in Sweden, Poland, UK or US (atm we do not offer relocation)



Additional Skills:
Avid & passionate gamer
Passion for anything aerospace related
A love for military themed games and simulations
Experience with Unreal Engine
Experience from the video game industry
Experience working with international teams
Additional language skills (e.g. Swedish, Polish, German)
