Sensor Global Component Responsible

This position belongs to department 91533 - Circuits and Sensors within Powertrain Control Systems, Product Development, Volvo Powertrain Sweden, located in Gothenburg.Powertrain Control Systems develop control systems for engines and powertrains for the different products of the Volvo Group.This includes electric hardware design of control units, sensors, and harnesses, as well as software development and optimization.The department consists of about 140 people in ten groups.. The assignment is organised within the Sensors & Circuits group which is responsible of developing sensors and harnesses for local and global engine projects.Due to the current increase in assignments, we are looking for an Global component responsible for the sensor team.The local group currently consists of 10 members and the sensor engineer team consists of 4 members located in Gothenburg, Lyon and Hagerstown Job description The Heavy Duty Engine Platform, among other components, has a set of different sensors to support the engine control.The job responsibility is to be the global component responsible on sensors development for complete Volvo Powertrain.As an Global component responsible your tasks will be to coordinate a group of engineers from the different sites who are the component owners and see that the team is bringing the best technology into the group.You will be the keeper of commonality for the engine platform and see to that the components deliver by the team correspond to the Volvo quality demands.Global component responsible develops in knowledge networks with specialist of the other disciplines in relation with the other engine components.You will be part of the Advance engineering projects for sensors as well as the representing for Powertrain in the Volvo Group sensor team. Profile .You have an open and positive attitude; you are flexible and able to take own initiatives..You are an open-minded person; respect different points of view and are able to establish effective working relations with people from different backgrounds..You should be able to lead other engineers in your group, suppliers or resident engineers..You feel comfortable with having a lot of different tasks in work simultaneously .The job is dependent of a good network within and outside the company; therefore your ability to communicate effectively and to work with persons on different levels and in different areas is essential. Qualifications . University degree in electrical engineering or equivalent . Experience as an engineer from the automotive industry .
