Service Architect - Consumer Application IT Services

Consumer Application IT Services is part of the function Consumer IT services, reporting to Volvo Car Group CIO. Consumer IT Services was established to make a paradigm shift in how IT is delivering proactive End to End IT services in the scope of Connected Car and Consumers to ensure optimal consumer experience. In the function we are outlining the long term direction for Consumer IT Services and drive business development through innovative IT as well as managing new and running services through know how, development, maintenance and support. As individuals and as a team we are accountable for working according to the guiding principles; act proactive and professional, strive for speed and quality in deliverables, build close business interaction and understanding.
As the Service Architect within Consumer Applications IT Services, you will have overall responsibility for the design of the Consumer Application IT Services application and service portfolio. You will also support projects in creating new or update existing applications within the area. You work in close contact with business stakeholders, IT delivery organisation and vendors to create valuable services for our customers.
Main responsibilities
* Overall high level architecture covering all application areas within Consumer Applications aligned with business requirements
* Owner of the Technology Vision and strategy for applications and services in the Consumer Applications area, as well as setting implementation standards.
* Responsible for overall integrity of the architecture within the area and maintain a strategic view of the architecture. (Technology Roadmap - Target Architecture)
* Technology and Architectural governance: Standardization and alignment of technologies, architecture and tools for development, test, collaboration and operation within Consumer Applications and in relation to rest of CITS
Required qualifications
* University degree in relevant field
* Documented IT experience (10 +years) from large/complex applications and projects in global organizations
* Knowledge about content delivery networks and site acceleration techniques
* Knowledge about global web site performance and web application architecture
* Knowledge of content management systems, preferably Sitecore
* Knowledge about integrations.
* Knowledge of cloud platforms and services (Azure preferable)
* Fluent in English, written and spoken
Personal qualities
* Ability to turn business requirements into sustainable technical solutions
* Good communication skills; the ability to convey ideas in written form and the capability to share those ideas verbally in a clear, concise manner to both technical specialists and people without technical knowledge
* Good collaboration and relational skills; comfortable working with and leading other skilled professionals in project teams towards common goals
