Infrastructure & Onsite Services
Infrastructure & Onsite Services (IOS) is the unit in charge of all Volvo Group Digital & IT infrastructure and onsite services. As the majority of this services would be delivered by a partner, the mission will focus at governing and controlling this partner, as well as managing the remaining IT infrastructure delivery teams in Volvo.
Business Infrastructure Services
The mission of Business Infrastructure Services, part of Infrastructure & Onsite Services (IOS), is to Develop and Govern the Services within End User and Network/Core while ensuring their delivery and usage. By that, we contribute to Volvo Group competitiveness by delivering standardized and fit for purpose infrastructure services, maintaining a balance between time to market, cost and quality. As majority of this services are delivered by a partner, the mission is focused at governing and controlling this partner.
Workplace & Collaboration services
Workplace & Collaboration services is part of Business Infrastrcuture Services department from IOS and has the responsibility for two service domains
Workplace services for the laptops, desktops, workstations, printers and COTS applications used at Volvo Group
Collaboration tools like O365, Video Conference services
Telephony services, personal and functional telephony, call centers and attendant services
We are now looking for an additional Service Area Leader for Collaboration and Telecom area
The service area is currently managed by one Service Area Leader. The area is growing and we need to add more capacity to the team to have a sustainable and future proof setup. Exactly how the area will be divided is an open topic. It dependes on who you are and will be defined together with you, the existing Service Area Leader and the Director for Workplace & Collaboration Services.
In this role you will be reporting to the Director Workplace & Collaboration Services and work in close collaboration with mainly our outsourcing partner. You will also be working with third party suppliers and be responsible for underpinning Contracts. You will give input to and participate in negotiations regarding contract renewals together with purchasing.
Role mission & context
Your mission is to define Volvo strategic direction and related roadmaps in the scope of the service area, and steer developments projects and transformations accordingly.
You manage the strategy and planning for the services and therefore you are strongly connected to both Volvo stakeholders, the infrastructure partner and other suppliers of the area.
You will work closely with other IOS infrastructure teams and also other Volvo Group Digital & IT units such as Solution Delivery units, CIO Office and Center Of Excellence
Key responsibilities
Manage the lifecycle of the portfolio of services in the service area. Define and manage the lifecycle of services catalogue, which defines what services shall be available for Volvo Group, including directly managed licenses.
Define the strategic direction, Long Term Plan and roadmap for the sub-portfolio based on business requirements and technical requirements
Validate business requirements against Long Term Plan and applicable budget frames
Define service area KPI:s, PI:s and metrics, and specify service level targets for the services in the service area
Steer service development and deployment projects of IT services across Volvo Group
Manage innovation related to the service area
Be responsible for and drive governance processes, forums and ways of working for the service area
Drive the dialog with IT strategic suppliers
Required competencies and experience
Strong competence and experience from the end user services area
Service oriented mindset and business mindset
Experience of managing enterprise-level infrastructure services
A strong personality and communicator being able to manage a large number of different stakeholders
Strong English written and oral communication skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to meet the agreed targets, deadlines and goals without direct, day-to-day supervision
Ability to work in an international team with colleagues that have diverse cultural backgrounds
Ability to quickly comprehend the capabilities of new technologies
Experience in managing relationship and negotiations with IT supplier(s)
