Service Business Engineers

The Tube product area within Sandvik Materials Technology (SMT) is specialized in seamless tubes, pipes and associated parts. SMT's new strategy has a strong focus on utilizing our unique competence within materials technology to grow within our new business segment and project organization, Service. We are now looking to expand our team at R&D Center, Tube with three Service Business Engineers.

Key performance areas
Along with your fellow engineers, you will focus on establishing the new Service organization, working with a broad approach and flexible assignments, to achieve and exceed our high ambitions regarding sales and growth.

Your main responsibilities include to:
- Develop processes (e.g. within offering, delivery management and resource allocation) for a Service Sales organization
- Participate in developing Service Packages (modularization) and a value based pricing model
- Run pilot projects in Service, including delivery
- Take part in discussions with BU Product Management and Sales regarding Service offers
- Participate in customer meetings in support of the sales organization
- Develop our Service Offering Portfolio

Your profile
We are looking for someone with a Master's in Engineering or Economics, and a good general knowledge of materials. Experience from SMT products, sales or product management is highly advantageous, and excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are prerequisite.

You have good analytical skills, combined with a strong will and enthusiasm, as well as a knack for spotting development opportunities for yourself and for the business. Furthermore, you have an understanding of the market needs and their significance to us, as well as a genuine interest in technical issues and materials. As you will have a broad contact network, it is important you are able to establish and maintain relationships both internally and externally.
