Arbetsbeskrivning
An increasing number of customers expect Scania to provide one-stop workshop services. They want to service their trailers and truck bodies at the same workshop, at the same level of quality, as provided for their trucks. These customers want to focus on their business and their customers, and trust Scania to take care of their complete vehicles.
The solution to this customer demand is Vehicle Related Services, or VRS in short. VRS is a concept that supports Scania workshops in providing service of everything from tail lifts and hydraulics to entire trailers. Vehicle related services are expected to give a significant contribution to service sale in the years to come.
Assignment
For trucks, there are sophisticated systems and concepts available to sell, administrate and execute service. To take the VRS business to the next level, it is necessary to develop service concepts also for trailers and truck bodies. We are now looking for a VRS Concept Manager who will contribute to take the business to the next level by coordinating these efforts, and drive the development.
The VRS Concept Manager will make inventory of development needs from dealers and distributors, through a thorough understanding of their service business. A road map will be developed in close cooperation with colleagues at Scania head office. Development of concepts and supporting processes and systems will take place in cross functional teams consisting of members from our service network, colleagues responsible for business, process and systems development. Other functions such as Purchasing, Scania Academy and Communications will also contribute.
Your profile
We believe that you have a great interest in service development, and want to make a significant contribution to the profitability of Scania’s service business. You are capable of working at your own command. You are used to work towards challenging targets that makes a change both for our customers and our business. You are able to get things done in a large, complex organization. You are a bit stubborn, and don’t give up if the task at hand sometimes takes longer than expected to complete. You enjoy having a leading role and is skilled in your communication.
Competence and experience
Probably you have a degree in engineering or economics, or you have gained problem solving skills through work. Years of experience from vehicle after-sales business is a prerequisite, preferably from service of trailers or truck bodies. Experience from service business development is a merit.
In the post-pandemic work life, working out of Södertälje is not required. You could have your home base somewhere in Europe, but be prepared to travel to Södertälje and elsewhere in Europe. Command of English is a must, of Swedish isn’t.
