Infrastructure & Onsite Services (IOS) ensures that best in class infrastructure services is developed, supported and operated. A vast majority of the infrastructure services are produced by partners where IOS drives the strategic direction. We optimize the setup by securing the right sourcing mix, delivery models and partnerships. The top priority is to drive IT quality and IT security throughout the entire Volvo Group.


Application Services mission is to Develop and Govern the Infrastructure Services for applications while ensuring their delivery and usage. Application Services contributes to Volvo Group competitiveness by delivering standardized and fit for purpose infrastructure services, maintaining a balance between time to market, cost and quality.


We are now looking for Service Delivery Leaders (Internal Volvo role name “My IT Delivery application lead”). In this role you will work very closely with the application teams in the Volvo Application Delivery Functions and have a functional reporting line to the unit heads . You will report to the director Application Operations and Runtime Services.


Wanted profile
For these positions, we are looking for persons with strong and inspiring leadership skills. You have proven experience as a transversal project manager, being able to work cross functional with a large organization and deliver results.


You are well structured, solution driven and proactive to handle potential issues from start. You are at ease to support prioritization work and to handle escalations when appropriate. You are familiar with Infrastructure services and application delivery and eager to continuously improve ways of working.


Role mission and context
You will act on behalf of the management team of one or several application development organizations, in order to coordinate and ensure progress of stay up to date activities including, but not limited to infrastructure, cybersecurity standards and compliance requirements.
Follow-up and build consolidated views for the delivery unit, with drill down per solution center.
Interact with delivery teams in your respective delivery unit to support and handle escalations.
Consolidate feedback, and on request, collect and ensure good quality of requirements for areas in scope.



Key Responsibilities
Facilitate and orchestrate changes needed to support activities in mission scope.
Interact with many stakeholders on different levels to promote and facilitate these changes.
Identify roadblocks and help the organization to escalate to the right levels.
Be part of the Business Change Management layer between the activity owners and stakeholders in Volvo Group.
On monthly/quarterly frequency participate in corresponding unit management team to follow up progress and deviations on stay-up to date activities, and as needed in the same on the next levels in the unit.
Coordinate and supervise a systematic approach to secure successful completion of activities such as below, (as well as new areas).



Runtime activities
Lifecycle Management for Application infrastructure activities
Server Vulnerability management
Unwanted Software removal
Server Patching
Infrastructure risk remediation
Lifecycle Management of Service Continuity Plans (SCP)
Security transformation
Application vulnerabilities
Compliance gaps remediation



Project activities, such as
Decommissions and migrations of Infrastructure services
DevSecOps implementation
