About the role
At Ringtail, we are looking for a talented Service Desk Technician with a passion for helping users and an urge for diving into the deep ends of troubleshooting.
To succeed in this role, you should be a problem solver with a love for variety in challenges. You should know how to speak to users on a level that is suitable for them, while also knowing the technical terms for what needs to be done. Additionally, you should be open to providing hands-on support to those needing assistance, and have a penchant for documentation.
Your day-to-day as a service desk technician
- Handling tickets of a varying kind
- Expanding and updating our internal asset management system
- Creating internal documentation for our employees on how to use our systems
- Creating documentation and tips and tricks for users, as well as IT and DevOps
- Hands-on helping with hardware and software problems
- Creating company-wide awareness for IT security
Requirements
- Experience working in service desk within IT or technical support
- Full professional proficiency in English
- Experience working with a wide range of Microsoft products
- Ability to easily troubleshoot a wide range of IT issues, both in software and hardware
- PowerShell scripting experience
- Big interest in the IT world
Good to have
- A higher education on IT, Computer Science or similar fields
- Experience working in Azure AD, Exchange, computer networking
- A background in solving problems for both Windows and Mac clients
