Field Services Engineer
Sweden / Nordic – Uppsala site
We are now looking for our new Service Engineer for the Immuno Diagnostics Division in Thermo Fisher / IDD. You will be an important part of our strong service team in the Nordic countries who work together to help our customers. The customers are clinical laboratory environments throughout Sweden and when needed in other Nordic countries (Denmark, Norway, Finland, Baltic, Greenland and Island).
We offer independent work with high standards of flexibility, cooperation skills and technical competence. The work involves some travel activities, primarily in Sweden, but also in the Nordic countries.
Essential tasks and responsibilities
· Responsible for service and maintenance tasks for Phadia 200, 250, 1000 and 2500 instruments.
· Work independently as a part of a Field Service organization team, to support our instrument.
· Work in close co-operation and communicate regarding service and maintenance tasks with Customer Excellence Center, Field Service Technicians, Field application specialist, Service Manager, Sales Representative and Sales Manager.
· Share experience and best practice of product services and applications with colleagues. Contribute to knowledge base to allow continued improvement of work efficiency and effectiveness.
· Actively participate in continues improvement project to enhance work quality and effectiveness.
· Back-up in other Nordic Countries with priority Finland/Baltics or colleagues in special service when needed.
· Fullfill PM and service agreement.
· Perform acute service.
· Installation and Support of our instruments together with application at customer site.
· Work together with sales team to secure customer needs.
· Remote service and support, both through LabCom and verbally through phone.
· Reporting, ServiceMax, SAP, CMS.
· Handle spare parts inventory.


Minimum Requirements/Qualifications
· Technical Education: engineering (electrical or mechanical) or similar qualification.
· A possible experience from a laboratory environment with solid knowledge of analytical instrumentation
· Be someone who works well independently, manages their own work efficiently and can work well with other across business functions and country boarders.
· Be passionate about service and customers and be able to quickly diagnose and resolve technical analytical problems in a challenging environment.
· Analytic problem solver
· Flexible in your work and re-plan for acute cases.
· Cooperative
· Team builder
· Fluent Swedish and English, preferably other Nordic language and.
· Drivers license
· Computer skills. Updates of software, network.
· Structured and organized.

Travel Requirement
· Travel to Customers in Sweden (approx. 60 travel days per year) Sometimes under short notice.
· Beneficial to live in Uppsala or North Stockholm area.
