This position reports to Service Manager.
Your role and responsibilities
ABB Metallurgy is seeking a dedicated Service Engineer to deliver exceptional service according to ABB standard processes and safety guidelines. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of Electro Magnetic Stirrers (EMS) systems, providing technical support, troubleshooting, and proactive communication with customers and sales teams.
Perform commissioning of Electro Magnetic Stirrers (EMS) systems to ensure proper in-stallation and functionality
Conduct preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance of EMS systems, including fault tracing and troubleshooting
Provide technical support to customers, acting as a specialist in EMS systems and resolving technical issues effectively
Be prepared to travel at least 50% of the time worldwide to support service activities and projects
Qualifications for the role
Hold a higher vocational education qualification or similar in a relevant field
Minimum of 5 years of work experience, preferably in a service engineering role
Demonstrate a high understanding of electrical systems, with knowledge of mechanics considered a merit
Knowledge in PLC and frequency converters Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
Demonstrate initiative, especially in independent work settings
A can-do attitude with a solution-oriented mindset
You are fluent in English, enabling effective communication with colleagues and customers worldwide
