We have an exciting opportunity at Essity where we offer this position for you to work in a technical role and contribute to Essity’s development of future and current equipment being used in our laboratories. This role is perfect for someone who has worked within mechatronics and has a special interest in automation.
About the Role
As a service engineer within R&D at Essity you are part of a competent team and get the opportunity to work in a broad role with good opportunities to develop yourself. You will work with technical support, where you function as first line support for the Research & Development laboratory at the site in Gothenburg and second line support for the sites outside of Gothenburg. Furthermore, you work with development of new laboratory equipment but also maintain and further improve existing equipment, to meet the needs of the business.

What You Will Do
You are responsible for everything from planning to performing maintenance and reconstruction of the laboratory equipment. As a service engineer you will also be a technical advisor regarding purchase of new machines, as well as being the contact person to consultancy firms for laboratory equipment. You will participate in maintenance, design and development of LabVIEW based control systems.
Who You Are
Bachelor’s degree within mechatronics, automation, engineering or similar
 Experience of maintenance and troubleshooting instrument and technical devices
 Experience of automation and PLC-programming
Knowledge within electrical science and EL-CAD
 Fluent in Swedish and English, both verbal and written
Knowledge within LabVIEW programming is an advantage

You are self-motivated and take responsibility while enjoying working independently with projects. It is an advantage if you are interested in initiating new projects, short-term as well as long-term. You are creative and have a good ability to come up with new technical ideas. The role also acquires that you have a solution-oriented approach and enjoy working with other people solving problems together.
Furthermore, in the role of a service engineer it is important to maintain a good knowledge of the equipment and their functions as well as safety laws and regulations.
