Service engineer to Siemens, Gothenburg

The challenge
As a service engineer at Siemens Large Drives Applications (LDA), you will work with our customers with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting (traditional service). You will also work with testing, commissioning, and programming of Siemens systems and make preparations in the office, which is more like the role of an application engineer.
The days are varied, one day you can interrupt the coffee break by jumping into the car and take an urgent service matter, while other days you have scheduled for setting up a system for a new delivered project at our customer and everything runs exactly as you intended. You are the one with excellent competence about our systems and when you notice that the systems needs to be updated, you give consultation to the customer about what they can be offered with the new technical solutions. But at the same time, you are an important part of our team. You will be part of a team consisting of salespeople and product specialists who work with drive technology and industrial automation for test applications.
In your daily work, you work very independently with our customers, but you should never feel alone, and your colleagues are a call away if you need their help and support. As a newcomer to us, you are welcomed with a proper introductory program with training, a supervisor who will be your mentor and provide guidance.

What is required of me?
To succeed in the role, you are a person who likes to take on responsibility, get on with customer contact and creating relationships. You feel a genuine interest in delivering good service and helping customers develop in the latest technology / services. Being able to plan and prioritize is important based on the fact that the pace can be high, your immediate leader will be of great help and support you when you reach out a hand.
Who are you?
We believe you like technology and have a background in electricity, automation or control and regulations / drive technology. Preferably, you have some years of experience from a role where you worked with technology in automation, drive technic or electricity. A theoretical background is merited as well as good IT / computer skills, knowledge of configuration and / or experience from working with network. If you have knowledge and interest in PLC programming, it is a big advantage.
If you know Siemens' portfolio in drive systems, you have an edge to be successful in the role. Most important is your mindset to learn new. Driver's license and good knowledge of Swedish and English, in both speech and writing are a prerequisite.
