What You'll Do
Global Service Engineering is as a team responsible for ensuring on-time delivery of service product features, technical publications, initial training, global parts availability, and service process validation.
We are involved in all new hardware/software development projects to ensure that our products meet the desired and required DFS (Design for Service) level expected from a modern product.
Once a new product has been launched, we are also a natural part in the life cycle management process.
We also provide remote and on-site support to our field service engineers when required.
One of our products within the service business is computers that are pre-configured to facilitate installation of our control software. As a computer specialist you will ensure that new computer models are tested and verified against control software and hardware platforms. You will also keep our business systems up to date as we bring new computer models aboard. Support to our field service engineers and customers will be a daily part of your task as well.
The position requires communication with several functions in the organization and will be involved in the full lifecycle of the product from definition to verification/validation and installed base support.
Duties include (but are not limited to):
Ensuring that our computers are verified to work with our control software and hardware
Keeping our business system updated as we bring in new computer models in
Maintaining a tight collaboration with our Service Product Managers
Interfacing and communicating with organizations such as Service Operations, regional service teams, product care teams etc..
Providing high quality service deliverables focused on computers within the scope of New Product Introduction projects and Product Care activities
Driving technical solutions and program leadership to improve the product, process or technology
Provide timely support with quality to our field service engineers and customers
Maintaining effective quality systems compliant with Cytiva Quality policies and Six Sigma standards
Who you are
Engineer with at least five years of relevant work experience
Demonstrated technical domain knowledge within computer operating systems (MS Windows) and computer hardware
Experience of IT infrastructure and DBA
Demonstrated technical depth with problem-solving techniques
Experience of working in project teams meeting deadlines and deliverables
Experience of technical writing and defining requirement specifications
Experience from the Life Sciences business and PDM-systems (Magic) is highly desirable
Fluent speaking and writing in English language
