To succeed in this role, we believe that you have experience and proven performance in Logistics/Supply Chain/Distribution/Commercial, on both operational and tactical level. In addition, you have proven knowledge about service fulfilment/service business, outbound processes, store-and warehouse operations. You demonstrate successful indirect and interdependent leadership in a complex environment and are eager to delivering business results. Consequently, you know how to interact and network with various business partners in a matrix environment. Besides that, you are considered to be a good coach/mentor with strong advisory- and facilitation skills. We do also believe that you have well practiced analytical, organisational and change management skills and know how to develop and improve ways of working. You know how to successfully lead projects and processes on country/market/national level. It would be an advantage if you also have experience within CFF sourcing methods.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Within the initiative of “Store with fulfilment capabilities”, you will contribute to the Service Fulfilment Operations and ensure operations excellence in the area of service fulfilment with a long-term focus based on the organization’s vision. You will contribute with both knowledge and expertise to multichannel development bridging the knowledge from the store with fulfilment capabilities initiative to a country specific store project. Your role should analyse the pre-conditions met in a specific country and store environment, matching it with the prerequisites required to use a special solution/service. You will together with the country team analyse the current delivery structure, define required changes in the set up and working methods and feed this into the design process for the store fulfilment solutions deployed by the team. Another important task would be to provide support, guidance and sharing best practices for all service fulfilment operations activities in-between the nominated IKEA stores in an inspiring and motivating environment. You will work close together with the Store Fulfilment Operations Leaders and Automation Technicians within the deployment team.
You will be responsible for:
• Copying the service fulfilment principles developed in the Alcorcon direct home delivery area to other store projects of similar type.
• Triggering the required steps to yield the key influencing factors to realize the business case
• Securing that the working methods meet the global standards suggested for the store fulfilment operations.
• Contributing with knowledge and expertise to optimal operational and multichannel development, related business-and process forums, sourcing activities etc.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of existing working methods, processes and solutions for the Group and Market Store Operations function
• Give support for the countries from a business perspective on provided business cases and project success criteria’s.
• Support to set up operations in a way to yield best utilization of the deployed solutions
• Securing the quality and performance of running service fulfilment operations in the project stores and having a smooth operation with service providers.
This is a temporary assignment for a period of 2 years. The location is Malmö, but commuter assignment could also be an option. You will report to Project Manager Fulfilment Store.
THIS WORK AREA
The Store with Fulfilment Capabilities Initiative is a key initiative within Job #6 and one of IKEAs strategic transition projects becoming the leading multichannel home furnishing retailer. The assignment is to deploy a portfolio of solutions to empower existing stores with fulfilment capabilities, making them a key element in the multichannel network while keeping their commerciality in meeting our customers. This portfolio covers the end to end process of order fulfilment in a store from Goods Receiving, to storage, picking, order preparation, order storage up to outbound&handover from stores and they need to be adopted to the countries’ needs.
The deployment Initiative is asked:
• to implement new store designs in multiple markets across the world
• run several automation projects enabling higher throughput of flows from existing stores
• match technologies and working methods with return on investments evaluations of countries and find the sweet spot to balance both
• secure that required digital enhancements are delivered and implemented in respective units
