The Platform Services has the responsibility to provide global governance and operation to meet VCC business requirement globally. This is achieved by providing the right functions and services to enable VCC different endeavors in an efficient, qualitative and cost effective manner.

As a Service Manager you will be responsible for the day to day operations, maintenance and support of the Database service for Volvo Cars Globally and act as a subject matter expert for the service. You will participate and support negotiations of appropriate service levels and contracts as well as coordinate and prioritize development and delivery activities for the database service.

Main responsibilities

* Responsible for operation of service
* Participate in Change Approval Boards (CAB's) to review proposed service changes
* Overall service design
* Validating/approving service acceptance criteria, requirements, and solution design
* Updating Service Catalogue with new or updated services prior to deployment
* Representing the service towards customers and vendors
* Follow the market to proactively identify improvements and new service opportunities
* Contribute to roadmap development for the services, together with Service Owner, stakeholders and vendors

Required qualifications

* 5 years of experience working with IT infrastructure services, Service Management and Supplier Governance
* ITIL
* Tactical Maintenance planning and implementation
* Underpinning contracts and supplier service level management
* Lifecycle Management
* Technical knowledge within the Infrastructure area with focus on Database services (SQL and Oracle)

* Fluent in English (oral and writing)
* Structured and analytical
* Self-motivated and result oriented
* Communicative, team oriented and customer focused
