At ABB we are market leaders in Hoisting industry. We have a large installed base locally as well as globally and serve customers worldwide. In this role you have the full profit and loss responsibility for our Service Business in Sweden. You play a key role in the local management team for Business Line Hoist in Sweden as well as in the Global Service team for Business Line Hoist. You manage our local service team and you are responsible for implementing the global service strategy locally. Main focus and target will be profitable growth of our service business supported by your own team as well as the local Hoisting organization. We offer you a position where you are key for the success of our strategy implementation together with the local and global Hoisting team. In this role you will report to the Local Business Line Manager Hoisting and in addition have a functional reporting line to the Global Service Manager for Hoisting. You will be located in either Skellefteå or Västerås.
Your responsibilities
Your main mission will be to drive growth and profitability. You will have a delegated profit and loss responsibility for the Service business.
Manage and develop your Service team and ensure that the area of responsibility is properly organized, resourced and supervised. Guide, motivate and develop direct and indirect subordinates. Improve service availability, provide training and develop capabilities and competencies.
Implement the global service strategy locally including introduction of new services.
Drive Service achievements through effective planning and allocation of resources in accordance with standard processes, procedures and safety guidelines.
Establish long term customer relationships with key customers and decision makers by understanding the requirements and needs.
Drive consistent development of processes and practices based on customer feedback.
Ensure compliance with Group health, safety and environmental directives, and ensure instructions and regulations are implemented well within the team (including subcontractors), while monitoring and reporting progress and results. Assess risks and safety hazards and implement actions to ensure people and equipment safety.
Your background
Minimum 5 years of experience working with service business.
Electrical/ Mechanical engineering background or other relevant education along with a genuine interest in service business is advantageous.
You have a record of successful leadership style, motivational and enthusing (formal or informal).
You have previously held responsibility as line manager.
Sound knowledge of and hands-on experience in servicing, maintaining, commissioning and repairing for installed base and new projects.
Experience from the mining industry is a plus, but not required.
As a leader, you are driven, innovative, persistent and proactive. You are also a true team player who thrives in a multicultural environment. With your collaborative and communicative skills, you have the ability to inspire your team to great performance to meet the goals.
