Service Manager – WAN & LAN

Background:
The decision to list SMT on the Nasdaq stock exchange and separate SMT from Sandvik as an independent company requires a separation of IT from Sandvik and a transition of IT services to the new listed SMT company.
The centrally managed network services consist of brand new SDWAN in 20 countries in 51 locations and Local area network Sweden with support for, among other things, Sweden's second largest industrial area in a multivendor environment. Primarily, the local networks in sites outside Sweden will be managed by the new Country IT-organization with the support of the central IT department
About the job
The purpose of the position is to be the point of contact for all central WAN & LAN services provided by the new central IT organization. Agreements with third-party suppliers are established to handle the day-to-day operations.
You will support and cooperate with the Country IT organizations to get a complete WAN & LAN overview and be the driving force of developing and modernizing the area.
In this position you will be responsible for managing, defining and delivering clearly defined WAN & LAN services that enable customers to understand service offerings.
Continuous improvement and automation of operations will also be a part of the job, as well as acting as the point of contact for suppliers and internal functions utilizing the services.
You have an essential role in serving as the point of escalation and collecting feedback and requirements from customers and other stakeholders.
What you will do:
Cooperate and building relations with other IT department and IT personnel.
Identifying customer needs and translating them into services.
Managing and prioritize between new projects and new demands.
Lead the development of the WAN & LAN services portfolio by creating, packaging and defining the services.
Establish financial, business and pricing models for the services in scope.
Work with vendors and suppliers and ensure supplier performance and follow up service reporting metrics, budget and improvement plans according to agreed SLAs.
Acting as point of escalation for operational issues affecting the services
Who you are:
We are looking for someone with a university degree in IT or similar work experience who can
manage multiple stakeholders with varying levels of maturity and requirements. In this role you are expected to be collaborative, strategic and able to utilize existing capabilities internally and externally to take us to the new target operating model in the new company.
You are a person who is not afraid to get into technical discussions and help Network projects/demands to a certain level using solution architects, engineers and operators. You are self-organized, structured, have good communication and social skills, have good Swedish and English skills, verbal and written. Some travel and willingness to adjust working hours is needed.
Minimum of 4 plus years of experience in service management role, preferably in Network area.
Experience and good knowledge of network areas such as physical and wireless local area networks, firewalls, network segmentations, network transports.
Understanding of ITIL service management and operational activities needed to uphold a service.
Ability to coordinate and manage global changes and initiatives
