Service Method Engineer
Are you the one finding the key to simple and safe service methods? The key making the life easier for the technicians servicing our 01 in the market. Uptime is our mission and we want to avoid our cars getting stuck in the workshop at all, but if they do, we aim to shorten service and repair times and make them as smart, simple and safe as possible. As method engineer you will develop methods and documentation for the service instructions used by the technicians in the workshops. You will work in the same team as the parts engineer to get the best strategies together. Close to you is also technical training and technical support where you will support with your knowledge.
You will be located in Gothenburg, Lindholmen.
What you´ll do
- Create methods by both physical (in the workshop) and virtual (in the development tool One Teamcenter) verification
- Find smart strategies to shorten service times
- Avoid special tools but create them if needed
- Be a part of developing the function and process of method creation
- Be the system expert for method documentation and update and maintain existing method documentation
- Focus on product changes in close collaboration with R&D departments
- Challenge existing automotive standards with new ideas and proposals for process and system solutions
What you should have
- Strategic and creative mind with new ideas on how to work with service methods
- 1-3 years of experience in creating and writing methods
- You should have deep vehicle knowledge, especially within electric vehicles
- Preferably you previously worked in a workshop
- Even though we aim for more pictures ‘IKEA style’ you need to have skills in technical English to write the text in the method
- Good collaboration skills working close with development team and our markets
- Mechanical interest and skills to be able to create and verify methods in our workshop
- Knowledge about safety procedures such as high voltage systems etc.
- Experience in verifying methods in Catia/One Teamcenter or equal tools
- Positive and flexible mindset to be able to handle different teams and fast changing decisions.
