Test & Development Services is one of four departments within IT Services (ITS). Our department channels demand from various business areas and interacts on a daily basis with both business and IT stakeholders to capture today's and tomorrow's needs. The department consists of 4 services within the Software Development area: Development Center, Configuration Management Center (source code management, continuous integration, code review, artifact management etc), JIRA Plus (collaboration tools for development initiatives such as Jira and Confluence), and Test Center.

Volvo Cars Group IT is undergoing a significant transformation in which Test & Development Services plays an important role, contributing to our Technical Transformation and journey towards a DevOps organisation. The services are closely involved in our R&D Department, which is very exciting and motivating.

As Service Owner you will be responsible for the three largest services within the department: Test Center, Configuration Management Center and JIRA Plus. These services are managed through an outsourced operational model, where our suppliers provide service management. and daily operations. The services provide tools, methods, best practices and guidelines. They take an active part in most of the ongoing IT initiatives within Volvo Cars by providing services or resources. They are also engaged directly with our business. As Service Owner you will work proactively to increase quality within the organisation and drive modernisation such as DevOps. The right person can really make a difference by further strengthening the collaboration between IT and our business, in this fantastic journey we are on.

Main responsibilities

* Plan and execute future strategic development of the services
* Drive modernization such as DevOps, Continuous Delivery & Deploy, increased level of test automation
* Supplier Management
* Increase quality within Volvo Cars
* Secure global delivery and recharge of tools and services
* Secure operational efficiency, technology and methodology development on both short and long sight
* Support and coach your clients regarding the use of the services

Required Qualifications

* University Degree or equivalent experience
* Experience of working in a Service Owner / Delivery Manager type of role
* Experience within the software development lifecycle / area
* Good sourcing and contract handling skills
* Strong resource, cost and time management ability
* Excellent communication skills in English
* Experience of agile processes and DevOps is very meritorious
* Experience within the automotive sector is meritorious
* Good knowledge of ITIL is meritorious
