Service Technician / Lead Technician to Bösjövarden Windfarm

Nordex Sweden is now looking for a Service Technician and a Lead Technician to Bösjövarden Windfarm in Dalarna, Sweden.


Job description
As a Service Technician in Bösjövarden Windfarm you will work in a small team of 3 people and your main responsibilities are fault clearance and maintenance of the turbines. The main tasks conclude:
Simple repairs of turbines and fault-finding
Complex repair processes in collaboration with technical support
Planned maintenance/inspection activities (sometimes with subcontractors)
Completing and archiving service and work reports in company database
Active contribution to safety awareness and improvements



Working as a Lead Technician you're responsible for repair and maintenance of the wind turbines in your area. You will coordinate a small team of Service Technicians to ensure the completion of their allocated service tasks within the specified time frames and to the required standards. Lead Technician reports to the Local Operations Manager on all operative tasks at site ensuring the turbines are maintained to the highest standards and meet the contractual availability for the wind farm.
Responsible for availability and performance of Wind Farms in his/her area
Analyze defects with support of Technical back office
Carry out planned maintenance and inspection activities
Carry out complex repairs with support from Technical back office
Implementing retrofits and clearing snag list from customer inspections
Check and report inventory of service van tools, electrical measurement tools and hydraulic tools
Support LOM in annual performance review of technicians
Control and ensure accurate inventory stock
Ensure the on-site quality & Health Safety and Environment (HSE)
Update man-on-turbines status
Responsible for Toolbox talks
Responsible for Subcontractor auditing and control of subcontractors at site
Responsible for complete, correct and timely reporting (eg Maintenance, ADM/ART, HSE, Day to day customer interface)
On the job training with new Service Technicians





Requirements
The requirements for the Service Technician position:
Electrical and/or Mechanical education on vocational or higher level
Minimum of three years of hydraulic, electrical or mechanical experience
Ability to work using computers (experience with Windows OS, Microsoft Office and SAP is considered beneficial)
Ability to solve problems and think analytically
Ability to communicate proficiently using English
A “can do” attitude and team working skills
Flexibility in working time and area



The requirements for the Lead Technician position:
Same as above
Experience in coordinating a team
At least 2 years experience as a Service Technician
Strong communication skills and able to lead a team
Systematic problem-solving behavior
Health and Safety awareness





Additional Information
You will need to meet the physical demands of working in the turbines - working in heights and climbing. Therefore you will need to pass a medical check before you start working with us.
You will need to use English on the job since many instructions, trainings and internal communications are available only in English.
The job requires occasional traveling within Sweden and sometimes abroad, for example to our training academy in Germany or Ireland.


In your role you will report to the Local Operations Manager responsible for Sweden.
