Our team - Commodity Autonomous & Connected Systems (SCK)
We are responsible for procuring and maintaining supplies of electronics components, embedded systems and software for our present and upcoming vehicle generations in the areas of automated driving, driver interaction and connectivity. Our work environment is dynamic, where the development of electrical components for Scania products is running fast and requirements both on the products and our suppliers are increasing.
To keep up with the increase we are growing the team and look for new buyers and sourcing managers with different experience levels to become part of our journey.

Responsibilities
In your daily work you will negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers, coordinate and align activities closely with purchasing colleagues in the TRATON group, perform strategic nominations of new business together with your project purchasing colleagues as well as working to align and improve processes within the area of Connected & Autonomous systems. In your new role you will also:
• Be accountable for the strategies and targets within one of Scania purchasing’s most dynamic segments.
• Be responsible for complex parts, the latest technologies with have high turnover and great cost improvement opportunities.
• Have a leading role in a team of quality managers and project purchasers where you will support and align activities to ensure that the strategies are implemented.
• Work closely with other functions at Scania, such as R&D and Production.
• Have the opportunity to learn from experienced purchasers and support new colleagues at Scania Purchasing.
Your profile
We are looking for several candidates (buyer/ sourcing manager/ senior sourcing manager). You should have at least 1-3 year of purchasing experience. If you are more familiar with procurement, we hope you are ready to take on a more senior role with a strategic mindset and share your knowledge with others.
For all positions we hope you have an academic degree in industrial engineering, economics or comparable. As the role involves communication with global suppliers, you should be able to travel occasionally, are fluent in writing and speaking English. Other language skills are an advantage. You have a strong commercial mindset, a technical interest and love to build relations and succeed in negotiations. You enjoy working in a team towards a common goal and to be a representative of Purchasing towards internal functions and suppliers. You are self-driven, ambitious and make your department reach set business goals.
