A leading clinical pathology and cytology unit in central Sweden is seeking several specialist pathologists to join its team.
This laboratory is at the forefront of digital diagnostics, serving a population of approximately 287,000. The hospital’s focus is to enhance patient safety and diagnostic precision by using advanced digital tools, including AI and automation. The unit provides a comprehensive range of services, including tissue and cell analysis, gynecological cytology screenings, autopsies, and morgue management. As part of a larger network in laboratory medicine, this role offers the opportunity to work in a stimulating and evolving environment.
Requirements:
Holds an EU-recognized specialist certification in pathology and/or cytology
Strong communication skills in English and a willingness to learn Swedish
Experience in histopathology and cytology, including tissue and cell sample analysis for diagnostic purposes
Experience in conducting autopsies and grossing procedures
Active participation in clinical conferences and diagnostic decision-making
Interest in digital pathology processes, with an understanding of AI and automation developments as an advantage
