Do you want to establish the technical foundation required for enabling shadow mode execution on our connected products? We are now looking for an experienced Architect who can join forces with both embedded and backend teams to build our platform for CI/CD and shadow mode execution.
Scania today have over 600.000 (and counting) vehicles and other products connected online.
Given that 96% of the carbon emissions comes from our products. Enabling and leveraging the data that we collect, to improve our products and help our customers utilise them in a more efficient way, is one important component for reaching our science-based targets.

What you will do
You will work cross functional with analysing and leading the required technical adaptions to our Connectivity- and IoT platform components. Ensuring a flexible solution for deploying, analysing and testing embedded software. While ensuring that it has the right security, robustness, performance, and scalability to support Scania’s digitalization
In order to evaluate new technical concepts together with existing SW and HW components, you will be working hands-on across the whole technology stack in our IoT platform, from the embedded software on our products to our internal backends and peripheral systems.
Experimenting on our platform architecture and iterating it towards a full-scale industrialised CI/CD solution giving our Embedded SW teams the benefits of a true continuous integration platform enabling automated deploytment on our products.
Who you are
You probably have extensive experience with IoT platforms and enjoy working hands-on with both embedded and backend development.
Experience from cloud- and embedded security and cloud architecture in general is meriting.
You most likely have a formal degree in engineering physics, electrical engineering, computer science, or the equivalent experience. In addition, you are expected to have at least 5 years’ experience from working with technical architecture. Knowledge of the areas of Security in the cloud/ IoT/ connectivity and/or the electrical system of (heavy) vehicles is a great advantage for this role.
