Join our team
The Underground division SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment and Quality) team are now looking for a new colleague to join the journey to further develop and improve the safety culture in Epiroc and drive our non-financial targets. The role is a wide-ranging and exciting job that gives access to a broad network of contacts at a workplace that prioritizes safety, health and sustainability.
The SHEQ department currently consists of five people, each with responsibility for different areas such as production quality, production support and product audits. Epiroc’s overall targets for safety and sustainability constitutes the foundation for everything we do.
We are located in Örebro, Sweden.
Your mission
As the SHEQ Specialist, you play a significant role in achieving a sustainable operation, where our main targets are to be an injury-free workplace and to cut our CO2 emissions by 50%.
You do this through supporting decision-making processes by visualizing and communicating SHEQ targets and results, driving initiatives that improve safety and sustainability, and ensuring we have a well-functioning management system in place. You work closely with SHEQ contacts within the Underground entities and other Epiroc divisions, following up on performance and progress, and sharing best practice. You play an integral part in the non-financial reporting on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
As the role is recently new to the organization, there is plenty of room for the right person to shape and develop it.
In this role, you will be reporting to the Global SHEQ Manager for the Underground division.
Your profile
To succeed in this role we believe you are an open-minded and analytical person who is willing to work on a broad basis in the organization. You have great interpersonal and communication skills and you enjoy interacting with colleagues on all levels.
You have a curious mindset and are not afraid to challenge current ways of working. We believe that this, along with your passion for creating a sustainable future, will be a recipe for success!
You have a Bachelor of Science degree in Sustainability, Industrial engineering or similar. We consider it an advantage if you have work experience within the SHEQ area, and relevant work experience may replace the need for a university degree.
Strong English verbal and written communications skills is essential, as the role involves communicating with our global entities. Swedish language skills are beneficial.
Location and travel
This position is located in Örebro, Sweden. For the right candidate, we are willing to discuss alternative location. Occasional travel may be required.
