Shipping Coordinator

About the role
In the role as a shipping coordinator, you are an important part of the value chain to the customer where you as a shipping coordinator responsible for deliveries of goods arrive at the customer at the right time with the right documentation. They cooperate with several functions internally, mainly packing, warehouse, production facilities and marketing companies around the world and finance. Externally, you work as coordinator of our freight forwarders agent.
Our customer have a strong focus to work with quality improvements and job imbued with that philosophy - standardization, continuous improvement and process optimization is a natural part of you.

As a shipping coordinator, you are responsible independently for shipments to a number of export markets. The execution of tasks is essential to follow the rules and procedures relating to quality and safety is established within our customer. The work involves contacts with production companies, marketing companies and shippers, planning and booking of transportation and the production of documents to deliveries. The role involves mainly routine functions but also some problem solving and analysis. You participate in deviation and complaint investigations.

The employment contract will be signed with Adecco. The duration of employment is for about one year. The position is full time and the work starts immediately when suitable candidate is found.

About you
As a person you are a social and outgoing team player, you strive for good cooperation in the contact surfaces and always take personal responsibility. Important characteristics are that you are careful and feel comfortable to follow established rules, procedures and standards. You are committed, flexible and service-minded.

Furthermore we are looking for individuals with the below requirements:

• Education: Post-secondary education with a focus on export management, freight forwarding, logistics and other service industries
• You have good communication skills
• You master English and Swedish very well in both speech and writing. ´
• Between 3 and 8 years of experience within the field
• Experience of global shipping
• Experience in sea- and air transport
