Volvo Construction Equipment, a business area within AB Volvo, is one of the worlds leading manufacturer of construction equipment such as wheel loaders, excavators, articulated haulers, motor graders and compact equipment. The products are sold under the trademark Volvo. Production facilities are located in Sweden, Germany, France, Poland, USA, Canada, Brazil, South Korea and China. The turnover for 2004 reached SEK 28,7 billion and the operating income amounted to SEK 1,6 billion. The number of employees is approximately 9 900. Since January 1 2006 all Volvo Construction Equipment's Swedish operations are unified in the company Volvo Construction Equipment AB. The operative activities of the company are run within Hauler & Loader Division, Component Division, Cab Division, International Division and Customer Support Division. Volvo Construction Equipment AB has approximately 3 400 employees. Volvo Construction Equipment AB, International Division has the total business responsibility for the product range of Volvo Construction Equipment in the regions Eastern Europe, Central Asia, Turkey, Middle East, Africa, Oceania and Cuba. The responsibility comprises marketing, sales, financing and also parts and service. International Division has regional offices in the markets where business is run. The Eskilstuna office has approximately 70 employees. About 80 persons are locally employed outside Sweden. Volvo Construction Equipment AB, International Division is now looking for a: SHIPPING COORDINATOR The position holder handles all type of matters related to shipment of machines and attachments from order to invoice, for all markets within Region International. Main responsibilities: Negotiate and come to an agreement on freight costs for areas or countries where no freight contacts exists within the Volvo Construction Equipment group Plan and arrange the transportation of machines and adequate equipment from all Volvo Construction Equipment factories Arrange inspections of the goods from an authorized firm, when a customer or country so requires Issue proper shipping documents in accordance with Letter of Credits and contracts Coordinate deliveries of parts with machine deliveries Invoice machine and attachment deliveries Keep up to date with valid laws and regulations related to shipping matters and its documentation in the actual countries Qualifications: Economic and/or administrative education Experience in shipping Experience in handling Letters of Credit Fluent in English. Spanish and/or French is qualifying. Coordination ability Experience in working in an international environment and interest for different cultures Ability to work well under pressure, independently as well as in teams
