What will you do?
As a Shop Manager you will report directly to the Plant Manager, be a part of the plant management team, lead and coordinate the production within the shop with full ownership to develop people and processes and reach defined targets.
You are responsible for managing and executing all activities needed to secure world class operations in Volvo Cars Body Components. You are also responsible for developing, maintaining, and following up to improve the quality, as well as participating in strategic work to bring out new activities for the short- and long-term goals. You operate according to company compliance standards, terms, and instructions.
In this role you will set the direction of the future vision and implement it together with your team. You will drive changes and improvements globally and be part of developing a business-oriented culture.
The position is based in Olofström in Sweden and will require travel to our different production sites worldwide.
Do you fit the profile?
We are looking for a true leader with high ambitions and great interest in both developing people, production processes, and the Global Manufacturing Organization.
We believe you possess strong leadership skills as well as an interest and ability to motivate, coach and develop people and teams. You empower and challenge your team and want to see people grow but also lead them and strive to reduce hurdles for them.
To be successful you need to be a team-oriented person with good communication and cooperation, as well as pedagogical skills.
The right candidate has a structured way of working and likes to plan in a strategic way with a holistic approach.
It is meritorious if you have the experience of leading other leaders. It is also meritorious if you have a global experience from leading in change and if you have knowledge and capability of lean tools and techniques.
You encourage new thinking in those around you and you build excitement to explore the possibilities of new ways of working. You know to translate the excitement into positive action through feedback and encouragement giving your team the latitude to get the work done.
We also believe that you possess an understanding of Manufacturing Systems (VCMS) and fluency in English, both written and spoken is required for the role.
