At Software factory we are building a community with highly skilled personnel. We are harmonizing the workflows and developing tools to be used across R&D, with the aim to accelerate the software development at Volvo Cars.
We are responsible for:
• Developing continuous integration (CI) architecture & infrastructure.
• Maintaining the complete software build and CI flow.
• Enabling high utilization of infrastructure, test objects and test artefacts.
• Creating automated tools & applications to secure an efficient flow.
• Supporting traceability to fulfill all legal requirements.
We are applying manufacturing principles and techniques to software development to mimic benefits of traditional manufacturing and creating a software product line.
In order to enable fast feedback to our developers we are now setting up a team of highly skilled SIL engineers to virtualize our development flow. We are looking for members to set up our core team to define, initialize and drive our virtual test and integration platform for a future self-driving car.
Now we are looking for experienced SIL engineers to build our virtual test environment!
What you’ll do
As a member of SIL infrastructure team, you will work with the full virtual CI Chain from architecture to deployment. You will run as well as maintain our infrastructure through DevOps principles. You will work in a competent agile team, where you will help make an impact. You will support the development teams across R&D with tool chains and ways-of-working for the virtual environment.
• Configuration, implementation and automation of Continuous Integration/Delivery pipelines for software delivery, including test automation frameworks
• CPU virtualization (Linux) of core system, Mechatronic Nodes involving AUTOSAR
• Environment simulation, from mockups to full scale plant models
• Virtual testing
• Continuously improve speed, efficiency, scalability and stability of continuous integration system and environment.
• Design and implement visualization of development status to create transparency and
• enable appropriate actions.
• Together with the product owner lead the architectural roadmap and vision for the area.
• Help to capture demand, trends etc from development teams
• Enable a less HW dependent SW development/product flow
Required qualifications/skills
• M.Sc. in Electrical and/or Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar relevant experience.
• Automation scripting Python, Bash, Batch, Groovy or Shell
• Lead and structure wow and deliveries
• SW Developer
• You will have solid knowledge and understanding of the fundamental concepts of CI/CD, understanding of disciplined methods in the design, development, debugging and test of software programs
• Experience of continuous integration infrastructure tool for software development
Meritorious
• Experience working with Linux/Ubuntu/CentOS
• Prior experience working with C/C++ and able to read the code
• Working in an agile environment with agile methodologies like Scrum, Kanban, Safe etc.
• Background in automotive
• Create environment models, traffic simulation (Matlab, Simulink)
• Passion for cars
