Arbetsbeskrivning
Do you want to work with unique products where your daily effort will contribute to save lives? As a developer at Surgical Science, you get to work with products that enable surgeons to train without putting patients at risk!
Surgical Science is a leading supplier of simulation software for medical training. Our training systems are used by medical training centers and institutes worldwide for practice, validation, and certification of students, surgeons, and medical doctors.
One major project is the HelpMeSee (mailto:https://helpmesee.org/)-project where the mission is to eliminate blindness due to cataracts. To achieve this, we developed and are deploying a highly realistic VR training simulator and training program for eye surgery. This is an ongoing, multi-year, long-term effort. There are also multiple projects within laparoscopy, robotic surgery, and intelligent ultrasounds, as well as initiatives towards global standardization within surgical procedures.
We are now looking for a simulator developer to join our development team in Gothenburg, Stockholm, or Germany (remote)!
Your role:
As a software developer at Surgical Science, you will work with simulation software and participate in our aim to continuously push boundaries within graphics and physics. The daily tasks consist of developing new features and updates, and you will also be part of making sure that our in-house built graphics engine is updated with the newest tech.
In this role, you will work closely together with a team of developers towards critical deadlines. We have developers in Stockholm, Gothenburg, and Berlin, and all documentation is written in English.
Your profile:
To succeed in this role, we believe that you have a big interest in technology, can see the big picture, and are aware of the business behind the programming.
We are looking for someone who takes initiative and likes to work independently but is not afraid to ask for help when needed.
Additionally, we think you have:
- At least 1 year of experience with C++ programming and Visual Studio
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Extensive English skills
It is a huge plus if you have experience with algorithm implementation, simulation, game development, computer graphics, or VR!
Surgical Science as an employer

We are confident that diversity is crucial for innovation and growth!
Send in your application now, we would love to hear from you!
