Join NEVS in our vision to be part of driving the change needed in the world!
We are now looking for a Simulation Engineer
YOUR TEAM
As part of the Chapter SW/Control System Test & Simulation, you will work in a team with simulation engineers that together perform different type of simulations of traffic, functions, performance, and systems in autonomous vehicles as well as develop software test environments.
You will be part of a creative and inspiring team that like to take on challenges and find new ways to work and improve.
We will ensure that you will have opportunities to grow and take on new challenges!
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Define and investigate new type of simulations and tools to use for different purposes concerning vehicle and/or traffic simulations
- Example of work tasks within our different simulation areas for Vehicle & Traffic Simulations: - Be part of Pre-Design studies to perform performance analysis concerning Performance, Range, Energy Consumption, longitudinal/lateral movement, Functional Safety, etc.
- Develop simulation environments and plant models for XIL test environments
- Build up a tool chain that include data bases to generate scenarios from, optimization capability to find critical scenarios, abstraction of test cases, and simulation environment connected to tools for execution, analyze and feedback.
- Perform simulations of autonomous drive and do co-simulations with environments used for traffic and other vehicle simulation areas
- Develop and perform traffic simulations, operations research, and optimization to support for business analyses as well as to test mobility services and vehicle software including autonomous drive
- Analyze simulation & test results, write reports and report issues/deviations
- Develop and improve work processes for development, verification and validation of simulation tools, environments, and models
WHO YOU ARE
- Successfully completed studies in Computer Science, Automotive Engineering, Systems Control and Mechatronics or similar
- Passionate about programming, modelling vehicle systems and fluent in Python/C++
- Experience of any type of simulations concerning safety critical functionality, performance, range, energy consumption, longitudinal/lateral movement, autonomous drive, control systems, traffic simulations or similar
- Experience of either agent-based simulations, Linux systems, Open-Source tools, game engines, cloud solutions and different simulation environments
- Knowledgeable about Machine Learning and/or scenario generation
- Like to share knowledge and expertise with colleagues
- Prefer working in teams and are open minded
- See possibilities where other see obstacles, and like to find solutions
- Accustomed to write and speak in English
