Do you want to be part of building a piece of the puzzle for future power grids? As a Simulation Model Engineer, you will join our HVDC System Design team in Ludvika and enter the interesting field of modelling advanced power system solutions. You will be given the unique opportunity to dive deep into the world of simulation of real-life applications that have significant impact on the world by enabling the transition to renewable energy resources through HVDC transmission connections.
What you will do
Design and development of models for simulation tools used for power system studies.
Virtual representation of real-time control and protection system.
Verification and evaluation studies with focus on dynamic performance.
Model structure and internal code module definitions.
Simulation program interface, tool and process development.
Project and tender work including internal and external support.

What we are looking for
You have a keen interest in how and why things really work the way they do and pay attention to detail in order to navigate different challenges.
You have good problem-solving abilities and can utilize analytical skills to breakdown bigger tasks.
You take responsibility for your delivery and have a clear customer focus.
You can work both independently and in teams efficiently.
You hold a Master/Bachelor degree in Electrical, Power or Energy Engineering, Software Engineering, Engineering Physics or similar field.
You have knowledge and/or interest in power engineering, programming, control theory, dynamic modelling, and simulation tools (PSCAD, PSSE, EMTP-RV, PowerFactory, etc.). Previous experience is meriting.
You are proficient in English since you will be part of a company that operates on the global arena.
