As simulation specialist you will be part of our product planning team responsible for setting out Volvo Buses future Product plans and will include responsibility for Energy efficiency in very close co-operation with market representatives.

Job Description


You will play an important role by leading the Energy Efficiency simulations for Electric buses within projects but also towards tenders to support our business.
Through Cross functional cooperation, logged vehicle data, verification in vehicles and customer feedback you will continuously improve and refine the Energy consumption simulations. These simulations will be used in improving our products as well as supporting planning of routes, charging needs and bus configuration.
You will work actively to enhance our methods and simulations tools. You are interested in Data analytics to further improve the analysis methods from all data sources. You will also lead the work to define road maps for energy efficiency and range prediction as well as represent Volvo Buses in different co-operation fora’s and customer interactions.

Are you an experienced Simulation Engineer with a strong interest in Energy efficiency and experience from automotive development? Do you want to reach your goals together with other people and have an eagerness to develop yourself?

To be successful we think you also have:
Holistic view and ability to work cross functionally and build strong relations
Master of Science in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent competence
Experience of simulation tools Matlab/Simulink
Experience in Python and SQL database programming
High integrity, instill trust, and ability to follow through
Fluent in Swedish and English, spoken and written
