Arbetsbeskrivning
It sure takes commitment to be a leading supplier within the mining and construction industry, and at Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology, we aim for nothing less! We proudly provide our customers around the globe with the best possible experience by the use of our cutting edge products and solutions, and we constantly develop within automation, electrification and digitalization. Are you interested in joining our world of brilliant minds?
Right now, we’re looking for a Site and Sustainability Manager for Division Rock Tools and our production unit in Sandviken – someone who’s both passionate and skilled in driving sustainable change. This job is a great chance to influence and develop the full spectrum of our work environment, and you’ll become an important part in creating a setting where team efforts, fresh ideas and agility will drive the shift into the next era.
About the job
As Site and Sustainability Manager, you’re responsible for a large cross-functional team consisting of Quality, EHS, Facility Management and Project and Methods. By gathering all these functions under the same umbrella, we aim to ensure an even closer collaboration, identify common synergies, and drive efficient processes and successful development activities - while keeping a future momentum on the ever-growing site demands.
You set the vision and direction for both the site and our work regarding health, safety, quality and sustainability, and you form a strong base for projects and methods that ensures timely delivery according to specified quality and budget. To be successful in all of this, you make sure that we’re equipped with relevant knowledge, well adapted systems and strong networks – and you connect all the pieces into one cohesive operation as you aim to reach our objectives. You’re accountable for daily tasks, overall results, finances and performance management, and you align our work with applicable laws and regulations, as well as internal frameworks. Naturally, you also maintain close contact with other business areas represented at the Sandviken site, and you continually communicate with all internal and external stakeholders.
You’re a valued member of the management team for our Rock Tools production site in Sandviken, and this is also where you need to be located for this position.
About you
We do need someone with previous experiences from a global manufacturing company, and preferably from working with EHS, quality or facility management - although, it’s your strong leadership skills that really excites us. You have been practicing them by leading larger organizations including multiple teams of experts. You’re resourceful, empowering and inspirational, and you know how to link different teams of specialists and bring them into a united and truly collaborative function. Other key skills in your professional portfolio includes driving development, initiating and implementing change and communicating in encouraging ways that leave a positive impact. A relevant degree – most likely within Engineering - is beneficial, and you’re fluent in English, while knowledge of Swedish is a plus.
You puzzle together small pieces into a bigger picture and you’re an orchestrator of strong networks and team spirit. By listening and viewing things from different perspectives, you easily create synergies and connect interfaces, and you inspire people to share information and insights. You challenge us in finding new ways of doing things, and your drive and result-oriented approach also enable you to make them happen.
